~~~~~
I sat on the ground and let out a hiss as I took my hands off of the broomstick. Slowly, I turned them over and grimaced as I saw them. They were raw and bloody. I swept the back of my hand across my forehead, wiping away the sweat and then looked up at the sun. I had been sweeping for three hours. It was completely unbelievable how dirty the orphanage got in such a short time. I had just swept a few days ago and now here I was at it again.
Hesitantly, I picked up the broom and went to put it away so I could wash up. As I dipped my hands into the basin, I winced at the sting. I bit my lip, trying not to cry. It wasn’t just the pain of my hands that hurt, but everything inside me. Every day for my entire life, I had been doing chores here from sunup to sundown. Nobody here liked me, but worse, nobody loved me. I was like the black sheep of the flock, different from everybody else. I was picked on, teased, and bullied every single day. I don’t know how I got on, but somehow I managed to get through the long, hard days.
After I had eaten my bowl of beans, I trudged up the stairs until I reached the third floor. I creaked the door open, slipped off my shoes, and wandered over to the window. This was my quiet, peaceful time. Away from chores, away from people, away from troubles.
I gazed up into the night sky, the stars twinkling at me. Then I saw my wishing star. I grinned and folded my hands as I stared at it and whispered:
“Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish, I wish tonight. I wish for a new, happy life, surrounded by people who love me.”
I closed my eyes and let a few tears trickle down my cheeks. Why had I been given this life? Why was I treated so poorly? Why were my parents taken away from me?
Thoughts like those floated through my mind and I cried for a long while. I wiped my tears away and looked back at the stars, searching for new constellations. There was the Big Dipper, Ursa Minor, and then I saw one that looked a bit like a swan, soaring through the night sky. I wish I could fly away from here.
After a while, my sleepiness caught up with me and I sauntered over to my make-shift bed on the floor. Letting out a large yawn, I closed my eyes and fell asleep. In my dreams I flew away and went on a grand adventure, making friends and finding a loving family on the way. It was the best dream I ever had, because it all felt so real.
When I woke up in the morning I heaved a sigh. I wish that dream would come true.
ANOTHER SAD STORY!!!! AGH!!!! I’M TERRIBLE!!! XD
Love,
~Fluffet~
Hi everyone! I was so glad you all enjoyed reading my Character Study, so I’m here with part 2 of Introductions! 😀
image
In case you missed it, Character Studies is done by Morgan and you seriously need to check out her blog – it’s awesome! So basically what you do, is you copy and paste the questions from her blog and then have your character answer them. My main character, Connor, in the book I’m writing will be answering the questions below :)
1 – How do you usually enter a room?  (Dramatic entrance, Walk in behind somebody so you aren’t noticed, etc.)
I just stomp in because I usually don’t want to be there.
2 – How would you describe yourself in one word?
Angry.
3 – Three words?
Angry, frustrated, rude.
4 – What kind of first-impression do you usually make?  Do you think it’s a good first-impression?
There’s never a good first impression when I’m involved. Everyone hates me. I’m known as the “Town Grump”, people!
5 – What kind of first-impression do you want to make?
……I don’t know. Doesn’t matter.
6 – How would your best friend describe you?
Best friend? Sorry, I don’t have one of those.
7 – How would your enemy (or least favorite person) describe you?
I have two worst enemies and both of them would say that I’m a hot head, have temper problems, and probably that I’m mean, evil, and hopeless.
8 – Do you agree with either (or both) of those descriptions?  Why?
Yep, but they don’t need to know that.
9 – How do you usually exit a room?
Same way I enter usually, I stomp out. Unless someone made me mad, then I storm out and slam the door behind me.
BONUS: If you were a flower, what kind of flower would you be?
A flower? Who wants to be a flower? And what kind of a question is that? I don’t know anything about flowers. Are there poisonous flowers or ones with spikes or thorns? If so, probably one of those.
~~~~~

I know, he’s terrible, but surprisingly fun to write! XD

I’m so excited to post the next ones! 😀

Do you have any characters that are as temperamental as Connor?

Love,
~Fluffet~

Whew! This post is late! I’ve been so busy and suddenly it was Thursday and I’m like – okay, I need to write my AAWC story! 😛

Just an FYI that I used this prompt for this story 😉

And, Misty, I did include “Broken” (of course XD ) and a swan :)

~~~~~
Have you ever wondered what causes fissures, cracks in the pavement, or even how The Grand Canyon was made? Well, let me tell you, it’s not at all what you think. I’m here to tell you the story of how The Grand Canyon was made – the story of how a broken heart could cause so much damage to the world, and yet turn out to be so remarkable hundreds of years later….
Judy and Nigel ambled arm in arm through the woods together, laughing and chatting along. Neither of them ever grew tired of each other’s company. They were a perfect pair and practically inseparable.
As they were strolling past the lake where the swans glided gracefully on the water, they noticed a young woman sobbing by an oak tree. They both knew the look on her face, they’d seen it several times before. It was the look of a broken heart. Judy and Nigel glanced at each other with pity and walked along, not wishing to disturb the poor girl.
“I’m so glad we haven’t had any fights, Nigel.” Judy said gratefully.
“I am, too.” Nigel agreed, patting her hand which was looped through his arm.
“We’re so lucky to have each other. And I know we always will.” Judy said with a smile. Nigel smiled forcefully at her, trying to hide his sadness and uncertainty. He felt in his heart that something was going to come between them and that somehow, they never would see one another again.
The months passed and nothing had interfered with their lives, so Nigel’s worry fled from him and he and Judy were now making preparations for their wedding. It was one bit of joy during the hard times of the war.
“Oh, we’d better invite my Aunt and Uncle Phillips and of course, Louisa and George must come, as well. Do you think I’ve forgotten anyone?” Judy asked her husband to be.
Nigel looked up from his paper and smiled. “No, I don’t think you have.” He confirmed. Suddenly the fear entered into him again. The same feeling he had all those months ago. His eyes saddened and his heartbeat quickened. He wasn’t sure what was happening. Judy noticed the look in his eye as he stared at her. She raised her eyebrow and inquired, “Nigel, what’s wrong?”
“I don’t know exactly.” He replied, his face expressing sheer terror. Judy walked around the table and sat beside him, laying her hand on his shoulder. Suddenly a horn bellowed so loud it made the two of them jump and Judy shrieked. Without saying a word, they both flew downstairs and out onto Main Street where they saw strong, threatening men driving dozens of prison wagons into town, whipping their horses along.
The men stopped driving once they had all entered into town and they jumped off the wagons yelling out orders and pulling and shoving all the men into the wagons. The women screamed and the men shouted for help, but there was nothing to be done.
The strongest looking man made his way over to Judy and Nigel and grabbed his arm, but Judy shouted,
“Wait! What are you doing with them?”
“It’s orders, Missy! All men from every town are called to serve in the war and if they refuse, they be hung!” The man barked back. Judy gasped and as the man started pulling Nigel away, she grabbed hold of his other arm, trying to keep him with her.
“Nigel! Don’t go! Please! Stay with me!” She cried. Nigel looked at his bride-to-be with tears in his eyes. He shut them tight, remembering and treasuring each wonderful moment they had spent together. Then he opened them and said, more sincerely and lovingly than he ever had before,
“I love you.”
Tears gushed out of Judy’s eyes and she held onto his hand until she no longer could. Those were the last words she ever heard from Nigel, and the last time she ever saw him.
Many hearts were broken that harrowing day, but none more so than those of Nigel and Judy whose love was greater than all the stars in the night sky.
And that heartbreak that occurred that day is exactly what caused The Grand Canyon to form. I guarantee that now you have heard this tale, every time you hear about or see The Grand Canyon, you will remember dear Judy and Nigel – the pair with the perfect love.
THE END
Okay, why do I write such tragic things? XD
Well, I hope you liked it and, as always, I’d love some feedback! :)
~Fluffet~
Hi everyone! So, I saw Anonymous A and Loren do this Character Studies thing, so I looked into it and I thought it would be a really good thing for me to do!
image
Character Studies is done by Morgan and you seriously need to check out her blog – it’s awesome! So basically what you do, is you copy and paste the questions from her blog and then have your character answer them. I decided to start with the first Character Study from March and have my MC in the book I’m writing answer the questions. I hope you enjoy! :)
1 – What’s your name?  Do you have a nickname?  Is there any meaning behind your name or nickname?
My name is Connor. There’s no meaning behind it and I don’t have a nickname. Not everyone does, you know?
2 – How old do you look?  Is that your real age?  How old are you, actually?
I don’t know – 19 I guess? I’m actually, twenty, though.
3 – What’s your gender?
I’m a guy. Isn’t that obvious?
4 – What’s your eye color?  How easy is it to tell your eye color from a distance?
I have green eyes and yeah, you can see them pretty well from the distance. They’re surprisingly bright.
5 – What’s your ethnicity?  Does anybody ever get it wrong?
Ethnicity? I’m a Shanite. No one can get it wrong because we are all Shanites living in Shano.
6 – What’s your build?  How tall are you?  Are you strong?
*squints eyes* You just had to ask that, didn’t you? No, I’m not tall, I’m short. Yes, I’m pretty strong, so watch what you say!
7 – What’s your foremost physical trait—The first thing someone will notice about your appearance?
…..My red hair….
8 – What’s your favorite outfit, or what do you wear the most? Why is that your favorite?
Favorite outfit? I don’t care about that stuff, I just throw on whatever is in my reach.
9 – How do you usually introduce yourself to new people?
I don’t normally introduce myself to anyone. The first words I usually say to someone would be something like – “Would you stop talking already?”
BONUS: What would you do if you were a pirate?
I’d search for buried treasure, duh! And probably take down any ship that threatened me.
~~~~~

Yeah, he’s um… yeah…. He’s fun to write LOL! XD

I hope you liked reading this! Let me know if you’d like to see more of these – Connor gets a bit crazier in the next ones 😉

Love,
~Fluffet~

Hiii! So I really wanted to make a post today and I thought – hm, I could show where I keep my POP!s! Also known as Poppy Woppies… I do that to practically everything, as I’m sure you recall me calling Tsum Tsums my Tsummie Wummies XD

Here’s the shelf where pretty much all my POP!s stay. There’s also an EAH doll and a 9″ donut Vinylmation because, well, they needed a spot, too XD I know it’s sad that I can’t really see the ones in the back, but back there are Mary Poppins, Lilo, Lady Sif (from Thor), Astrid, Hiccup, and Jessie :)

On my computer desk I have my three OUAT POP!s – Emma Swan, Regina (The Evil Queen), and Captain Hook :)

And here are my Star Wars POP!s! I have Rey, Han, Leia, and BB-8 so far, but I’m hoping to get Finn and the Poe without helmet which is exclusive to Walmart :) Okay, yes, you see a lot of other cool Star Wars things, so I’ll show you the entire shelf XD

TA-DAAA!! This is my Star Wars shelf! Everything on it is Star Wars except for my crochet Elsa wig that my mom made me 😉

And above the amazing shelf is my awesome Rey and BB-8 poster that I got at Joann! I LOVE IT!!! 😀

Well, that’s all I have to share for today! I hope you enjoyed looking at all of my POP!s :)

Do you have any POP!s? Where do you store them?

Love,
~Fluffet~

Hey ho! (I almost started singing one of Merry and Pippin’s very entertaining songs) Today I bring to you my second story for AAWC! And I included a swan, once again, Misty :)

Before we go on, let me just say – GO TEAM SWAN!!! I BELIEVE IN US!!!! XD

Now let’s get on with the story, shall we? XD

~~~~~
I sat at the edge of the lake, letting my feet soak in the water. Gazing at the glistening lake, I let a tear trickle down my cheek. Gone. They’re all gone. A sob escaped my lips and I had no control over the tears. The ache was so strong that I hugged myself and bent over, allowing the overflowing tears to fall into the lake, creating ripples on the water.
“They were wonderful, weren’t they?” A voice came from behind me and I forced myself to look back and see who it was. A young boy around my age stood there, his eyes red and puffy, as though he had been crying, too. I closed my eyes and nodded my head, unable to speak a word.
He came closer and sat down beside me, placing his hand on my shoulder as I cried.
“I came here every day to visit with the swans. They brought hope and joy to the whole valley. And they were always there to help us and save us from the beasts. I can’t believe someone came and-” The boy paused, not even able to say those two horrible words himself. I sniffed and wiped away some tears as I lifted my head up.
“Which one was your favorite?” I inquired, my voice cracking.
“I always liked the one with the few blue feathers. He always did silly things.” The boy stated, trying to smile. I chuckled.
“He was my favorite, too.” I informed and the tears poured out again. The boy reached into his pocket and tapped my arm. I looked at him, wondering what he wanted.
“This is for you.” He offered and I took the photograph from him and smiled as tears streamed down my cheeks. It was a photograph of Blue, as I had dubbed him, splashing around in the water. I smiled gratefully at him and whispered, “Thank you.” He smiled back at me and went on his way. I wish I could have told him how much it meant to me, but I think he knew already. I would always treasure that photograph, and I’d always remember that kind boy.
~~~~~

I used a writing prompt that said to write the saddest scene you can think of between a boy and a girl, except this is the first time they ever met. I had tried this prompt once before and it didn’t turn out the way I’d hoped. I feel much more pleased with this one :)

Have a great day!

Love,
~Fluffet~

Alright. Are you ready? This is the LAST part. Okay… Let’s see what happens! 😀

~~~~~
Erebelle was telling her mother all about Damarias’ new stall when suddenly she heard a bone chilling roar.
“Damarias!” She breathed and ran out to the barn to fetch her horse. When she exited the barn she looked at the ground for Damarias’ paw prints.
“That way, Moonlight!” She yelled and her horse raised back on two feet and galloped in the direction of Damarias’ paw prints.
Everyone in Charzul heard the roar, even Prince Neal who was looking everywhere for Alfred. When he heard the roar, he hurried to the stables to see if Alfred’s horse was still there, but all of the hunter’s horses were missing. Neal hopped on his horse bareback and he, too, went after Damarias, but this time, to keep him safe.
Damarias continued running, his face getting scratched and bleeding from brushing up against branches in the forest. He noticed a fallen down tree and knew he had to jump over it, but if he didn’t make it, the hunters would catch him. Damarias reared back and jumped forward, and although he did make it over the tree, he had a bad landing. The hunters caught up with him and circled around him. Erebelle came riding from the west and Neal from the east.
“STOP!” Erebelle and Neal yelled in unison, but it was too late. One of the men fired a shot and Damarias let out a wail that made Erebelle’s heart skip a beat.
All of the hunters, frightened by Prince Neal, ran away, but Alfred stayed and faced him.
Erebelle jumped off of Moonlight and fell to the ground in front of Damarias, tears pouring out of her eyes uncontrollably. Damarias turned his big eyes toward Erebelle and moaned. Erebelle pet his face and said, “It’s going to be okay, Damarias. I’m gonna get help, and you’re going to live.”
Damarias flapped his ears, as though he was telling her that she was going to be fine. Damarias lowered his head toward his wound and looked back at Erebelle with sad eyes and moaned.
“You’re not going to die!” Erebelle cried, but Damarias groaned and flapped his ears again.
Neal walked up to Alfred and said, “I gave you orders, and you disobeyed them. Get on my horse. I’m bringing you back to the palace so you can spend a few years in the dungeon. And don’t even think about running away. I’m keeping my eye on you.” Neal commanded and Alfred did as he was told.
Neal stepped over to Erebelle and Damarias and knelt down. Erebelle continued talking to Damarias, but after a moment, he let out his last breath and was gone. Erebelle threw her arms around Damarias and sobbed.
Neal placed his hand on her shoulder and said, “I can’t tell you how sorry I am that this happened. I want you to know that it was not my doing.”
Erebelle tried to speak, but her pain was too strong, so she nodded her head. Neal stayed with her until she was ready to part with him.
Erebelle rose and faced the prince, her eyes small and red.
“Thank you for changing your mind about him.” Her voice cracked.
“I just wish I could have stopped this.” Neal said sadly. Erebelle sniffed and wiped her eyes.
“We did everything we could.” She said.
Neal nodded his head and said, “You’re very lucky to have had such a good friend. Not everyone is blessed to know someone like him.” Erebelle smiled and more tears streamed down her cheeks.
“Well, goodbye, Miss.” Neal said and rode back to the palace with Alfred. Erebelle stayed in the forest a while longer thinking of all her friends in the village and of Damarias. She turned back towards Damarias and said, “Thank you, Damarias, for being the greatest friend of them all.”
THE END
~~~~~

*sigh* I know. I’m awful. It makes me teary every time I read it. :(

Alright, now you all can go ahead and tell me how terrible I am for killing off Damarias. But I hope you liked this story anyway XD

Love,
~Fluffet~

OH MY GOSH!!! This is the second to last part!!! AGH!! Are you ready? Are you sure? There’s a major cliffhanger at the end… XD

~~~~~
Erebelle woke with a start.
“So, you’ve finally decided to wake up?” Prince Neal asked from the campfire. Erebelle sighed with disgust and then frantically looked for Damarias, who was surprisingly, still sleeping beside her.
“What are you doing here?” She asked, not worrying herself with talking respectfully to her prince.
“I heard about all that you did by several of my guards and I thought I would come find you and commend you for doing such an excellent job.” Neal said kindly.
“You mean, you aren’t going to press charges?” Erebelle questioned.
“No. I’ve decided to drop the hunt for your pet. You can take him back home if you would wish.” Neal said with a smile, but Erebelle wasn’t going to agree just yet.
“How do I know this isn’t some sort of trick?” She inquired.
“Miss, I give you my honest word as your prince, he is safe, as are you.” Neal promised, placing his right hand over his heart. Erebelle smiled with relief.
“Thank you, Your Highness.” She said gratefully. Damarias stood next to Erebelle and groaned happily. Erebelle laughed and cuddled his big fluffy face.
“Well, I should be off now. Good day, Miss.” Prince Neal said and walked away before Erebelle could say a word.
“Sire, would you like us to go after the creature and that peasant girl?” Alfred asked as Prince Neal walked through the palace gardens.
“No, there shall be no more hunts for that little fellow anymore. I want no harm to come to him or the girl, is that understood?” Neal said and Alfred bowed his head and headed for the stables.
“Well, are we going?” One of the hunters asked once Alfred entered the stables.
Alfred mounted his horse and said, “Yes, let’s rid the kingdom of this beast once and for all.”
Meanwhile, Erebelle was preparing a proper place for Damarias to sleep in their barn. She was decorating his stall fit for a king.
“What do you think?” Erebelle asked with a smile as she fluffed up the last pillow. Damarias pawed at the ground, which normally meant he wanted to go run in the woods.
“Oh, I don’t know if that’s safe yet…” Erebelle said, unsure of his safety. Damarias looked up at her with pleading eyes.
“Oh, alright, but just for a while okay?” Erebelle agreed and Damarias galloped across the yard and into a large open field.
Damarias growled in delight and rolled over the pokey grass, perfect for a good back scratch. Damarias lifted his head and ears and listened closely. Hunting horns! Realizing that he was still being chased after, he began running as quickly as he possibly could. He pulled his head down and lifted it back up, letting out the biggest roar he could let out, hoping that Erebelle would hear it.
