Four weeks ago today we lost Majesty (we had to put her down), my brother’s beautiful golden retriever. And although she was my brother’s dog, I loved her so much and I still sometimes cry when I think about her. Yesterday was one of those days with my mom and brother and myself.
Since this blog is about things I love, it seems only right that I post about her on here. A lot of these pictures are from her last days with us.
Majesty LOVED her squeaky toys, but her lightbulbs were her absolute favorites! She had 3 of them and almost always had one with her
She always looked so sweet in this position. <3
Majesty had this face a lot! I think it was when she was relaxed and happy that someone was with her
This is at the vet, the day we had her put down. You would have never guessed something was wrong with her or that she was in pain. She was always happy…
I totally loved when her ears were up like that! It made her a million times cuter!!
The people at the vet gave us a bag of dog treats to give her and Jordan fed her a lot! I believe she ate a bag and a half of treats!!
This picture melts my heart. My brother’s face when he was looking at her and petting her was so sweet and I could see how sad he was.
Now let’s look back at the past when she was a little “Butterball puppy”
I love this picture of her! I have it as my wallpaper on my iPod
She looks so cuddly wrapped in that blanket!!!
I used to love watching her eat the peanut butter out of the KONGs!
Jordan always had a little fun with her ears 😀
I loved when he would scrunch her face! He did it all the time and she didn’t even care 😛
This has got to be my favorite picture of Majesty. She is so beautiful and fluffy, her ears are up, and you can see her gorgeous gold eyes so well in this picture!
I miss Majesty so much and will never forget how on the last day, just a little while before they were gonna put her down, she let me hug her. I had never been able to hug her for that long before. I think she knew I was sad and that’s why she allowed it. The only one who could ever hug her was Jordan, so I was really happy that she let me.
I will never forget that day and how much we were hugging and kissing her. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I still look in the backyard and expect to see her there. And sometimes I think I hear her walking up to the door or in her crate. I pray that I will see her again someday.
I felt like making a Frozen post today, but the question was, what do I post about? Then I decided that it would be interesting to take a closer look at Elsa’s life
Starting off when Elsa is just a little girl- she’s probably around 7 years old. She’s just having a ton of fun with her little sister and her magic and making her sister happy.
Then the ice hits her head and Anna goes unconscious. Naturally she is very worried and scared for her sister right now.
So Grandpappie (the troll) heals Anna, but removes all magic from her memory. And their father decides that Anna needs to be kept away from Elsa. Right here I think I have mostly thought about how sad it is for Anna because she randomly loses her older sister with no explanation. But really, I think it’s saddest for Elsa! She has to be kept away from her little sister because of her magic and what she accidentally did to her! And she can never talk to Anna. What must that be like to be completely shut out from the world and to have to shut others out, too?
Now it’s coronation day!! I would think that most people would be excited for that, but Elsa sure does look sad. Why is that? I think that she actually isn’t as sad as she is scared. She’s really afraid of her powers and what could happen if she makes a mistake. All her life she’s been alone, but now hundreds of people are going to be in the palace. That would be pretty scary, too.
Alright, she’s freezing the scepter and the other thing she’s holding, she’s in front of a ton of people, and if anyone noticed that she was freezing those things, that would not be good! And you know, all her life she’s been told “Conceal it, don’t feel it, don’t let it show.” But I honestly think that wasn’t good for her to say. That just made her think about it more and made her even more scared!
Everyone knows about her power now, the entire kingdom is afraid, and she’s being called a monster. It definitely makes sense that she runs away.
Anna goes to find her sister, so she can apologize and bring her home. Now just look at Elsa’s face right here- she definitely wants to go back and have a normal life with her sister, but she can’t.
I’m sure it’s very hard for Elsa in this entire scene. She’s telling her sister to go back home and saying, “Yes, I’m alone, but I’m alone and free.” She’s trying to sound okay about it, but deep down we all know that she’s not. As Anna says, “Nobody wants to be alone.”
And once again, Elsa hits Anna with her powers, but this time in her heart.
You can see Elsa’s love for her sister really well in this picture. I wonder if she knows that she actually hit her heart? She doesn’t seem to know when Hans mentions it later. Hmm….
“How? What power do you have to stop this winter? To stop me?”
One of the saddest lines in the movie. The fact that she mentions herself needing to be stopped is heartbreaking. I still think that saying “Conceal it, don’t feel it, don’t let it show” had a lot to do with how she struggles with her powers now. She should never have been taught that
Now these two body guards are trying to destroy Elsa. Seriously, if they would’ve just looked closely at her face and listened to what she said “No, please!” and how she said it, they would’ve seen how sincere it was and that she was really a good person!!!
And to defend herself from them she’s using her powers and nearly killing them, but Hans rushes in and says, “Queen Elsa! Don’t be the monster they fear you are!” making Elsa realize what she was doing and that she really was starting to be a little monster. Just think if she had went on and nobody ever stopped her! She probably could’ve ended up an Evil Snow Queen! I mean if she kept being told she was a monster and people kept trying to kill her, that could have happened.
Now here’s a question, that one guard was going to shoot an arrow towards Elsa, but Hans stopped him. Why would he do that if he had already planned to kill her once he and Anna were married?
Okay, what could be more painful than hearing that your sister was dead because of you? The exact thing you had always tried to protect her from, but it still happened.
Then she gets up and sees her sister completely frozen. And it’s all because of her. That is literally one of the saddest things ever! And I think what’s really sad is that Elsa was told Anna was dead already, but then she sees her frozen right in front of her. So now she knows she really wasn’t dead yet, but then right away, she practically was again.
YAY!! Anna isn’t frozen anymore!!! Elsa brought her back 😀 And now she’s bringing back the kingdom, too!!
And finally, Elsa can hug her sister and be around her without worrying about freezing her ever again
I seriously LOVE food and I have a major sweet tooth. Something I love eating for breakfast is….
Toaster Strudels!!! My favorite flavor is strawberry, but I have tried the apple one which is good, but strawberry is still the best! Toaster Strudels are usually kind of expensive, so we don’t buy them a lot, but we found a 12 pack value size at WalMart for a good price
Now, I LOVE the icing!!! It seriously makes the Toaster Strudel so much better! Me and my brother both agree that no icing must go to waste! If some gets on our plate, we’ll get our finger and lick it clean 😛
If you haven’t tried Toaster Strudels, you need to! They are SOO GOOD!! 😀
Have you ever had a Toaster Strudel? What’s your favorite flavor?
One of my favorite things to collect are POP!s, have you ever heard of them? They are super chubby vinyl figures and they make them in all types of characters, so not just Disney 😉
I’m going to show you my POP! collection, as well as my mom’s and my brother’s one POP!
Here’s my little collection! I have 10 in all and I absolutely adore them!
I have here Vanellope from Wreck-It-Ralph, the mini Snow White and Grumpy set, and Jessie from Toy Story 2 and 3. Out of all the Wreck-It-Ralph POP!s Vanellope was my favorite, although they are all super cute! Now normally I never really liked the Disney Snow White, but ever since I started watching the TV show, Once Upon A Time, I have totally loved her!! So that’s why I just had to have that set And of course, who doesn’t love Jessie? She is so cute and I’ve always felt so bad for her. I’m not showing the back of the POP!s, but her braid is adorable!
Moving on I have Cinderella, Merida from Brave, and Maleficent from the new movie.
I had to have the Cinderella POP! because ever since I was little girl she has always been my favorite Disney Princess!
Merida is just so adorable! Her hair is amazing and I love that she is holding her bow and arrow. And my friend bought me the Maleficent POP! (Thanks again! ) I absolutely LOVE her! They did a great job with this one and since I am super obsessed with that movie, it only makes sense that I have her, right? 😀
Here I have Mary Poppins and Gandalf and Legolas, who are both from The Hobbit. I’m not actually a huge fan of Mary Poppins (although I like her even more now that I saw Saving Mr. Banks), but she was just so cute I knew I had to get her! Her hair is also adorable and I love her hat! And also, if you know me you’d know that I LOVE the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit Movies! I seriously adore my Gandalf and Legolas POP!s 😀
Here is my mom’s entire POP! collection (except for the mini Snow White and Grumpy set)! She has a few more than me, but that’s okay! From left to right are: Grumpy, The Evil Queen, Jack Sparrow- Oh, I mean Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean, a mini Peter Pan, Russel and Carl from Up, Fix-it Felix, Wreck-It-Ralph, and King Candy (all from Wreck-It-Ralph), Elastigirl from the Incredibles, and last, but not least, Bilbo and Thorin Oakenshield from The Hobbit!
And here is my brother’s Thor POP! He’s a bobblehead which is pretty interesting, but also cool! My brother seriously needed Thor because we always say that he’s Thor, so it just made sense 😉
And one last photo of them all together! I forgot to take pictures of my dad’s Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket POP!s, so I’m a little sad about that, but oh well! In total we have 27 POP!s in my house!! I honestly can’t believe it!!
I hope you enjoyed looking at all of our POP!s 😀
