*happy sigh as I hear Lord of the Rings Music playing*
Did you all know that yesterday, December 19th – marked 15 years since The Fellowship of the Ring, the beginning of an incredible journey that would enchant so many people and fill ever so many hearts, first released in the theaters?
I can not even believe that movie is 15 years old… You know that means that I wasn’t even 3 years old yet? I wish I had been born earlier so that I could have experienced the excitement of this incredible movie first hand. So that I could have seen all the merchandise and hoarded figurines and collectibles galore.
For years I wasn’t able to see The Lord of the Rings movies, but I grew up in a household that was obsessed with it, so I heard about it all the time.
I remember seeing Narnia for the first time and totally dying and loving it. I used to say that there was no way Lord of the Rings could be better than that and let me tell you – I got a lot of disapproving looks from my family whenever I said that. In fact, my brother, Jordan used to say – “You better like Lord of the Rings more!”
On December 23rd, 2012 I watched The Fellowship of the Ring for the very first time. Within the first two minutes I was completely hooked. I was taken into Middle-Earth – a world full of mystical creatures, evil sorcerers, and characters with such depth that they felt like friends, and still do to this day.
Ever since that night The Lord of the Rings has held first place in my list of favorite movies. It is a work of art that needs to be seen. A story that needs to be heard. An adventure that needs to be traveled.
There are no words to describe just how amazing it really is and believe me, if you have never seen it or read the books – you are in for a surprise. It’s nothing at all like what you think it is and it will leave you drained and dead.
No matter how many times I watch these movies I still cry. I still laugh. I still feel everything. Though I can never watch it again as I watched it the first time, it will always be special and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
I truly feel like each member of the Fellowship are friends of mine. I’ve never felt that way about characters in a movie before. The only others that hold close second are Han Solo and Chewbacca. That’s it.
Because of this close connection I feel to them, I feel that way about the actors behind them. Watching the bonus features and seeing how hard it was on the last day of shooting of The Return of the King for Peter Jackson to say that the scene was good and how Elijah Wood walked up to him crying and embraced him absolutely breaks my heart. They were all a huge family for so many years and this was the end. They had to say their last goodbyes. <3
My favorite movie out of the three is without a doubt Return of the King. It gave me every single emotion you can possibly have. I cried so hard. It’s so beautiful, so epic, so amazing, and so heartbreaking all at the same time. Did you know that Return of the King did a clean sweep at the Academy Awards? It won every single award. What more proof do you need of its amazingness than that? 😉
To those of you who haven’t watched any of the movies yet, when you do, make sure you don’t turn it off right when the credits start rolling. You have to listen to the credits songs. They’re all amazing and are so much more effective when you hear them immediately when the movie ends.
And after you watch them, drop me a comment! I’d love discuss my all time favorite movies with you
Thank you, J.R.R. Tolkien for writing the most amazing story I have ever heard.
And thank you, Peter Jackson, for bringing this story to life in such an amazingly beautiful way. You did an incredible job.
Do you like LOTR? Did it change your life?
Guys. Rogue One trailer.
Go watch it.
I died. So hard.
The music. Everything.
How will I live until December. O_O
With love from a very dead,
Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting in over a week – I got busy doing other things 😉
This is a post I’ve been planning for a while now. I’ve been super excited since the announcement of Frozen 2, but lately I’ve been feeling anti-Frozen because of my first requirement for Frozen 2:
I absolutely, positively, most definitely do not want Elsa to be gay. So many people are petitioning for Elsa to have a girlfriend in the next movie and it’s honestly making me sick – even Idina Menzel herself is for it! Elsa is perfect the way she is – she’s a character loved and obsessed over by thousands of people – she should just stay the way she is!
I’ll be extremely upset with Disney if they go through with this – so please, Disney, if you’re reading this – don’t do it.
My second wish for Frozen 2:
That Elsa has a love interest (not a girlfriend). I really want her to fall in love with a super handsome, super nice guy! She deserves it – she really does XD Don’t you think Jack Frost would be perfect? I think Disney and Dreamworks should team up just once…. XD
That they all have new costumes and don’t wear the same outfit and same styles throughout the entire movie. Come on – be realistic! I was so thankful they had new outfits in Frozen Fever, but please – how about a new style, Disney? 😉
Anna and Kristoff either need to be married or get married in the movie. I literally will die if this doesn’t happen. They love each other and I’m sure a lot of time will have passed, so they should be talking wedding plans, right? XD
That Kristoff sings more!! He has such an amazing voice and he hardly sings in Frozen or Frozen Fever – he needs to have a full song and maybe sing a duet with Anna – they need that, too! XD
Speaking of songs – I really want the songs to be AMAZING! They need to be powerful, emotional, maybe a fun one or two, and they just need to kill me basically LOL!
This is the last one – that the movie is all around OUTSTANDING! I know sequels can be hard, but I believe if they don’t rush into it (which I’m glad they aren’t doing), they can make some magic happen! ;D
So, those are my wishes for Frozen 2! What are yours?
Hi everyone! I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite characters and movies that I feel don’t get enough appreciation or attention from me (and others). I’ll also of course be stating why, so expect some mild fangirl-ing XD
Ernest T. Bass from The Andy Griffith Show! Now, normally when I watch something funny, I’ll laugh the first few times I watch it and my laughs will suddenly subside and I’ll just smile or not even care anymore. But sometimes, something is so funny that I literally laugh every time I watch it – no matter how many times I’ve seen it! This is the case with Ernest T. Bass. He is a crazy, wild, mountain man, hillbilly who loves to throw rocks through windows and climb and jump around like a monkey – all the while laughing merrily! I just can’t get over him – he absolutely cracks me up! Laughing makes me feel good and definitely turns my day around, so I highly recommend watching Ernest T. Bass when you need a good laugh. That is, if you like that kind of thing ;D
The Cowardly Lion is another one of my favorites. I die each time he laughs or cries! It’s so hilarious – and when he “barks!” AGH!! The Cowardly Lion, just like Ernest T., makes me laugh every time I watch The Wizard of Oz! 😀
I’m sure many of you might hate me right now, but I really like Jar Jar Binks! I wouldn’t say I love him, but I really like him! I honestly don’t understand why people hate him so much. He’s just clumsy and prone to making mistakes – but aren’t a lot of people? I love how he walks and talks, and I’ll laugh when he makes mistakes and I feel bad for him when people get mad at him. I understand, it could be annoying and extremely frustrating to have him around all the time, but in the movies, I’ve always enjoyed him.
*dies* People. This – oh my gosh. This is seriously one of my all time favorite movies!
*returns from grabbing my Count of Monte Cristo bracelet*
The Count of Monte Cristo is an intense story full of revenge, romance, broken hearts, redemption – it just kills me, you guys! It’s one of those movies that you watch where afterwards, you feel dead. Just completely drained and like you can’t focus on anything else but the amazing movie you just watched.
It does have some thematic elements (unfortunately a lot of movies do), so make sure to talk with a parent before watching it 😉
But truly, it’s worth watching! It’s such an amazing story – I can hardly put it into words. *mentally tells mom we need to watch this movie again*
“It’s a rumor, a legend, a mystery! Something whispered in an alleyway or through a crack!”
Anastasia is a beautiful movie about a girl who has lost her memory and wants to find her real family. Dimitri, a con artist wanting money, gets “Anya” as she calls herself, to agree to portray as The Grand Duchess Anastasia who has been missing for several years after her whole family was killed (except for her grandmother in Paris 😉 ). It’s a mystery, a romance, and a musical! The songs are so powerful and emotional – one of which gives me chills just about every time I listen to it! *thinks, I need to listen to the soundtrack again…*
The only thing I don’t like about this movie is the villain, Rasputin. He’s absolutely disgusting. We skip the parts that are all about him cause it’s just too much. *ugh, now his song is in my head!!*
We actually just watched this movie last night! After watching it, I always think – man, that’s a really good movie!
Reign of Fire is about the world being destroyed and taken over by dragons. There are not many survivors in the world and even London is empty – except for the hundreds of dragons that live there. It’s a survival story and definitely worth watching! And, I just have to say, Christian Bale’s accent is amazing. And so is Gerard Butler’s. XD It’s also very sad, but not in the way that would make me cry. It’s just sad. 😉
I think the rest of the movies I have to show are all romances – oh boy! XD
Miss Potter is about the authoress, Beatrice Potter and her journey to becoming a best-selling author. It’s also a tragic romance. Oh gosh, so sad. It’s a very serious movie, but a great story! Oh, and Ewan McGregor sings a song in it, so that’s awesome XD
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! It’s SO CONFUSING!!! LOLOL!
Seriously, this movie is insanely confusing to me, I don’t get how something that happens in it is even possible, but somehow it is. My mind just can’t wrap around it. XD
This is a love story about two people who live in different time periods, but somehow start writing letters to each other and form an attachment. It’s a beautiful movie and again, so confusing to me! I really wanna watch this now, too…
*dies* It- I- it’s just – *dies*
The Young Victoria is literally one of my all time favorite romance movies! The acting is superb, the costumes are gorgeous, and the story is just amazing. It’s all about Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Their meeting, how they fell in love, the struggles – I just love it. It’s an absolutely beautiful movie and makes me so happy (and yet, dead) after I watch it.
This movie also has some thematic elements in it, but easily skip-able 😉
Treasure Planet is one of Disney’s greatest movies! At least I feel that way LOL! I don’t think this movie gets nearly enough attention as it should. It’s a great story full of adventure, humor, and AMAZING songs! Whenever I’m listening to music and a song from this movie comes on, I always get so happy! Also, with that little chub nugget of adorableness (AKA, Morph), how could you not like this movie? XD
Everyone, this movie messed me up. In a very bad way. I was depressed pretty much the rest of the day after I watched it. I was crying after the movie ended. I died. (I actually was getting teary as I typed all that right now)
I’ve only watched this movie once so far, but it’s a very interesting story, tragic romance *bites lip*, and just – *sigh*. It’s a very good movie, I loved it. But the ending is terrible.
This movie also has a thematic element in it. I’m letting you all know this so you can let your parents know in case you wanna watch it. I don’t want them thinking I’m recommending bad movies to you! LOL!
Okay. Now that I’m dying over everything I just typed, I think I need to go continue reading my Amish romance book and maybe have some ice cream. XD
Do you love any of the characters or movies I listed? Did any of the movies sound interesting to you?
Ahem. Sorry for screaming, but it was quite necessary because ZOOTOPIA CAME OUT ON DVD TODAY!!!! AAAAGHH!!! *dies*
Seriously, you may not know this, but I am seriously in love with this movie. I’ve been counting down the days till the release (I think I’ve texted Emma almost every day the past few days, telling her how much longer until Zootopia XD ) FOREVER and now it’s finally here and I’m just… I’m just so happy… *cries* LOL! No, not really, but I am super happy ;D
My Judy and Nick Infinity Figures are posing with the movie- ISNT THE CASE SO CUTE?! I saw this movie twice in theaters- proof that I loved it. It’s just such an amazing movie. The story is great, intense, and it even gets scary at points (literally I was freaking out at one scene) and it’s super fun, funny, and heartwarming. I definitely believe it’s a must see! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed
VOICE CAST INTERVIEWS?! YESS!!! I love to see the voices of the characters- although I already know Ginnifer Goodwin since I watch OUAT and also Jason Bateman. I still can’t believe awesome Nick Wilde is little Jeb Carter in Little House on The Prairie… O_O
Okay, now for a question….
Do you love Zootopia as much as I do? Are you craving a donut, too? XD
Hey guys! I’ve been super Star Wars-y lately, so today I am watching A New Hope and working on my order for a Rey costume. How appropriate, right? 😉
Aaah… I just love Star Wars!! My love (or perhaps I should say obsession) for it finally began to grow this year. I can’t wait for The Force Awakens to come out!!! It’s less than 2 months away now!!! EEE!!! 😀
I better go now, but I’ll be posting again soon about my trip to Disneyland! Bye for now!
What’s your favorite Star Wars movie?
Hello there! I’m back again with another movie review. Today I will be talking about Jurassic World! As with all of these posts, there will be major spoilers and these ones you’d definitely want to be surprised by, so if you haven’t seen Jurassic World yet, please DO NOT read the words that aren’t in bold and crossed out 😉
In my opinion, I think the story was GREAT! For me it was very believable and it all felt so real. When first seeing the trailer, I knew it was going to be a good movie, but it wasn’t. It was an AWESOME movie!! It is very intense, so I know that this movie won’t be good for some people to watch, but if you’re like me and like intense adventures that keep you on the edge of your seat, then you MUST see this movie! 😀
My Favorite Scene:
Oh, gosh. I don’t know if I can pick…. Maybe the ending scene! Oh my gosh it is so epic!!!!!!
When the T-Rex comes and starts fighting The Indominous Rex and then oh my gosh!! I totally thought that Blue had died!! So when he came and started helping, too I got SO excited!!! 😀
I think the cast did a great job! Chris Pratt was awesome and it was so interesting for me to see Bryce Dallas Howard in it because she’s Ron Howard’s daughter!! I kept thinking “Oh, my gosh she totally looks like Opie!” LOL!
Okay, let’s start at the very beginning of the movie when you see “Universal Studios” on the screen and you hear the music – I literally smiled so big! Just by THAT I knew how awesome this movie was going to be! Throughout the entire movie my eyes were widened and I had my hand over my mouth in suspense and fear the entire time! I even slammed my hands down on my legs (not super loud or hard, though 😉 ) in one scene because I got mad LOL! When I walked out of the theater I was so hyped up and excited, I wanted to scream! I really think this is the most intense movie I have ever seen and I’m really looking forward to watching it again! It’s on my list of top favorite movies 😀
I rate this movie 5 out of 5 stars!! I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! 😀
Until next time!
Hello! I thought it would be fun and interesting to start talking about movies that I see. Please do not read if you haven’t seen the new live action Cinderella movie and don’t want any spoilers, as I will be mentioning some major ones
I am really happy that Disney kept the Cinderella movie true to the original. Although there were some minor things added, such as Cinderella’s mother and father being alive at the beginning, her father was a merchant, Cinderella first meets the prince in the woods, and just simple things such as that, but really, I loved it all! There was one change, however that I didn’t like and that is that they made Jaq be a girl, changing the name to Jacqueline. And they didn’t have Bruno in it either, which was a little disappointing, but it didn’t bother me too much.
My Favorite Scene:
Oh, my goodness there are so many! I love when Cinderella and Kit first meet in the woods!!! It’s just so awesome and sweet! And oh, their dance at the ball is just beautiful! And, AAAAAH! THE ENDING!!! When Kit is disguised as a guard and he hears Cinderella singing and insists that she be brought out – EEE! And when Cinderella comes down and is telling Kit everything she doesn’t have and then says, “Will you take me as I am? An honest country girl who loves you.” And then Kit replies, “Yes, but only if you take me as I am – an apprentice who is still learning his trade.” OMGOSH I DIED!!! 😀 So, yeah, all of my favorite parts include Cinderella and Kit together. I totally ship them LOL! My mom gave them the couple name, “Kitella” Love it! Oh! I also love when Kit curls up on top of his dad when he’s dying!! It’s so sweet and touching and heartbreaking!
At first when I saw the actress who would be playing Cinderella I thought she would do okay, and I thought the same for the prince. But, oh my gosh, they were PERFECT! I can’t imagine anyone else playing them! Lilly James and Richard Madden did an amazing job! And the stepsisters were great, too! Just as weird and ridiculous as they are in the animated film. The stepmother also did fantastic! When I first saw a trailer with her in it, I thought the acting was kinda cheesy, but again, I was so wrong! Cate Blanchett does a great job at acting as the stepmother- a character that you just hate because she is so cruel.
This movie was very emotional, although I didn’t shed a single tear, I did get teary. It’s shocking for me that I didn’t cry, but I realize that my emotions came out through my body. I can’t describe how I felt exactly, but it felt like my body just died (although it didn’t really LOL) and I couldn’t move. I was just too sad to cry I guess, or maybe my mood wasn’t cry-ish. Who knows? Her parent’s deaths killed me, Cinderella’s pain of being a servant killed me, her happiness with the prince made me smile, the wedding day made me smile even bigger. And when the movie ended, I just wanted to watch it all over again! I can not wait until this movie comes out on DVD! Literally, I feel like it’s taking a year for it to come out!!! *insert crying face*
I absolutely rate this movie 5 out of 5 stars! I couldn’t be more pleased with this movie!
I hope you enjoyed hearing my thoughts! Let me know if you’d like to see more of these in the future!
YES, IT IS TRUE!!! It was officially confirmed today at Walt Disney Animations Studios!!! I literally was just jumping up and down and squealing in excitement!! I had heard that there was going to be a Frozen 2, but now it’s really, truly happening!!! 😀
*the picture above is a screenshot from Facebook that my mom took and sent to me*
Click on the picture so you can read it
Oh, my, now the questions shall begin!! What will this story be about?! Will it be even better than the first one, or will it be worse??? Will Anna and Kristoff be (or get) married?? Will there be even more awesome songs?! Will they have new outfits (they better! I can’t stand it when characters wear the same thing all the time LOL!)?!?!? EEEE!! I’m just so excited!!! 😀
What are your thoughts on the new Frozen movie??
Hello everyone! I’m sorry that I haven’t posted for awhile, but I am today, so- YAY! 😀
I have been having so much fun editing pictures lately and I just have to show them to you!!
And just a quick note- if you have any trouble reading the words, you can click on the picture to make it larger and you can read it perfectly 😉
He he! All of the pictures are Frozen- just an FYI 😉
This quote “Try as we might, happy as we were. We can’t go back.” has been in my head for days! It’s from North & South and it just seemed to work so perfect with Frozen
These are lyrics to a song from Disney’s Treasure Planet. I love this song!
Psst- So sorry for the yellow arrow on the side. The app I was using wasn’t saving my work, so I finally had to take a screenshot, so that’s why there’s a yellow arrow 😉
A quote I often say- from The Lord of The Rings
Also from LOTR- said by Bilbo. I know, I know. It’s so sad
Another quote from LOTR that I often say in my head.
These are lyrics to the song “May It Be” that plays in the credits of “The Fellowship of The Ring” I LOVE this song!!!
“May it be when darkness falls- your heart will be true” Also from “May It Be” 😀
These are lyrics to one of my favorite Disney love songs!! It’s from “The Lion King 2- Simba’s Pride” and the song is called “Love Will Find A Way”
LOVE the LEGO Movie!!! LOL!
I’m sure most of you know what this is from, but just in case you don’t- it’s from Toy Story 😉
OMGOSH I LOVE WHEN THEY’RE KIDS!!! They are SO ADORABLE!!! 😀
Which one is your favorite?
